Condominium Bathroom Waterproofing Case Study
A condo unit owner contacted Vtagoon Waterproofing after noticing severe ceiling deterioration and water damage in the unit below an upper-level bathroom.
Upon inspection, we identified that the unwaterproofed or inadequately waterproofed bathroom area was allowing water to penetrate through the floor and affect the ceiling below.
Instead of simply repairing the damaged ceiling, our team addressed the source of the water leak by performing proper bathroom waterproofing, treating critical joints and penetrations, allowing the system to cure, and conducting water testing before reinstatement.

This project highlights the importance of professional bathroom waterproofing for condominiums. Treating the source of the leak helps prevent recurring ceiling damage and protects the unit from further water intrusion.
With this condominium bathroom waterproofing project, VTagoon Waterproofing will conduct a comprehensive leak source assessment, remove the existing floor tiles down to the affected level, and remove failed waterproofing materials.
The work will include crack treatment using low-viscosity epoxy, followed by the application of a complete polyurethane waterproofing system to help prevent water seepage and leakage. Proper surface preparation and waterproofing detailing will be completed before the installation of new tiles.

A 48-hour water leak test will also be conducted as requested by the client to verify the waterproofing performance and help ensure a watertight bathroom floor before the area is reinstated.
